Okay, that blues song put a HUGE grin on my face. It reminds me of a party I went to as a teenager in which we all sat in a circle and created a blues song together. The girl playing the guitar was the one holding it all together with the chords. Our repeated choruses grew more and more enjoyable to sing as the song went on. Thanks for unearthing that long-forgotten memory.
Clever!
Thanks Beth!
That last line, Terry! It's perfect. Those magic potions almost certainly include more than a tincture of Ibuprofen…
LOL. That doesn't sound quite so mysterious or romantic somehow!
Great post, Terry. I'd even wager 'EPIC!' here!

Sounds like great fun, Renee!
Blues reigns where I live in southwest Mississippi. This is really good, Terry!
Thank you, Holly. Do you have local radio stations dedicated to blues?
Agreed although there is a double negative in a Killers song (name escapes me at the moment) that drives me nuts. I cant not hear it (lol)
I don't know that. The worst (or best?) I came across was in an Elvis song called Hard Knocks, a TRIPLE negative: Nobody never gave nothin' to me!
No, its making me itch. I will try and remember the Killers song. Give me a month or so. It will come to me at 3am one morning
Genius. right down to the double negative at the end I believe
Thanks, Nicky! I like double negatives: they just seem so apt in a blues song somehow!
Epic! I live in a studio in Nashville with a bunch of blues musicians. The America of the Blues still rules.
I'm cogitating on writing an article about how I became a bluesman!
Brill!
