Wowzer, Terry! So impressive. So so impressive. I take my hat off to you. This one goes above and beyond. You really captured the essence of Holmes here. Bravo, sir.
Thank you. Well, funnily enough, writing this has prompted me to think that perhaps I CAN write fiction despite my protestations to the contrary. Obviously nowhere near the same league as yourself, @Sharron Bossano, @Jim Cummings or @Dr Kate Waller, but even so: small beginnings 😊 Thanks for your encouragement, Nathan
What a thoroughly enjoyable read! Obviously I was gripped by the storyline, and worried for many paragraphs about whether - and in what state - Lord Freedman would ever surface. Great notes to finish - I always learn a great deal from your posts, Terry, so thank you!
Thank you, Mary. Oh yes, I had to get him in somehow. I mean, the whole story was preposterous so I didn't think one more bit of preposterousness would make much difference 🤣
I so enjoyed this, Terry. Like Holmes, your attention to detail is very impressive, even down to the bus timetable! That the bus ran on time was,of course, because not even a London bus would mess around in a Sherlock Holmes story. I loved the idea of a possible elopement with a beloved feline to Gretna Green. Actually, thank you for mentioning Gretna, because it reminded me to text my 65 year old friend. She and her beau (not a cat) are eloping tomorrow night on the Caledonian Sleeper to Glasgow and then on to Gretna. These are the type of friends I have, eccentric, and in this case, also romantic.

Really? Thanks very much indeed, Nathan. I tried very hard, and very much enjoyed writing it, as perhaps comes across. 😁
You did really well. Would love to see more fiction from you like this 😁

Piffle, nonsense talk. You've got what it takes. I think you should strive to write more fiction. I'd love to read it.
Gosh, I haven't seen "piffle" in a long time! I used to use " bosh" a lot! Well, thanks for kind words. I shall cogitate on't. 😀
Beautifully done. (And a lot of fun comments too.) Thanks so much.
Thanks, Beth 😀

Thanks Rebecca! I'll try to remember to say a bit more about in the Extra post.
Enjoyed this, Terry!
Cheers, Ron!
Bravo, Lord Freedman, bravo!! 🕵️♂️ Loved the nod to Moriarty

Preposterous? Nnnnnnot true, then? #devastated
Dear not! That was only Watson's opinion 😁
🤣
You have "captured the tone” utterly! Brilliant, Lord Freedman, and very entertaining!.
Thanks very much, Sharron 😁
I really enjoyed this.
You capture the tone, the essence of SH so well, and with precision. Possibly your best interpetation yet, IMO...
Thanks very much, Prue. I did enjoy writing it, and the research (the bus routes and timings, plus reading)! Glad you enjoyed reading it.

Hurrah for your friend and her beau - that's adorable! 🥰
Thanks Rebecca, the wedding was this morning and they have just sent some lovely photos !
Oh, how wonderful!
Definitely
Thank you very much, Maureen. Your friend sounds like a good laugh!
Elementary, my dear Freedman.
