Better late than never, that's what I always say. I.am very behind as well.
MVW ie minimum viable wordage is something I came up with, borrowed from the concept of Minimum Viable Product in business. You definitely should give it a whirl on your Morsels reviews 😃
Girlfriend: Yes. I didn’t because you exaggerate so much.
Me: I’ve told you a million times that that is simply not true.
Thanks for the great tips for writing a 6-word review. I've had a few attempts at your challenge, as you know - but I'm taking your suggestions on board for any future tiny word count challenges! A certain Ms Bassano of our mutual acquaintance has prompted me to try a 50-word story one of these days....
As always, another great start to the week, Terry. I love these posts!
My dad dug 77 Sunset Strip so much he nicknamed my little sister Kookie. After Edd “Kookie”Byrnes. She was a baby! It was the first of many nicknames, too many to list. The current one is Ben. I was a toddler when this came out. I wasn’t allowed to watch it. I still remember the music. There is always something FUN in your Start of the Week. ❤️
Happy to hear that the sax playing is coming along. The chromatic will not be a big step for you, since you already know the blues harp. It's also quieter than the sax for learning songs that you can then translate to sax. I have actually been inspired by you to bring out my old stash of harps and give them another try. My wife is thrilled.
And, hey, thanks very much for the shoutout, Terry.
Oh, brilliant, Jim. I've alwabeen worried that my going on about tje sax and harmonica would come over as self-obsessed, so I'm delighted it's had a positive effect, which is what I'd hoped.
Thanks for your encouraging words about the chromatic. Funnily enough, a few months ago I wanted to try something I'd learnt in the sax lesson but didn't have much time, so I gave it a whirl on the harmonica. I think I have a mental block about the chromatic, but tackling the sax seems to have started to open up the door.
Hope your enjoying your harp playing. I've got a post in the pipeline about harp playing, so I'd be interested to hear your opinion of it when it finally sees the light of day.
Year of the Cat! What a great video of Al Stewart. I had that album, yes, an album. Vinyl. Al Stewart's vibe reminds me of Seals and Crofts. Wowie. The 77 Sunset Strip clip was the bomb. What another throw back. I think that show was on Sunday evenings and we weren't allowed to watch it because, well, it was on TV. On Sunday. P.S. I love writing short form. 6-word stories pop into my head at random parts of the day. Thanks for the introduction to them. Enchantée.
"Had"? I still have it. I haven’t listened to it for a long time, because YouTube is so much easier and quicker. I vaguely remember that tv programme, but hadn't realised it was almost incomprehensible. I must watch a full episode on YouTube if I can stand it, I mean dig it. 😂
Yup, "had". I don't have any vinyl any more, though my brother has ALL his vinyl from the 60s and 70s, all the Beatles, some Cat Stevens, etc. I wish I had mine! Neil Young was a fav, and when I first heard him I thought, "Well, that just proves one doesn't need a good singing voice to make it as a singer". 🤣
77 Sunset Strip!? OMG. I am embarrassed to say I understood every word. But, funny, I don't remember it sounding so stupid back in 1960.... Oh wait... that's because I was stupid back in 1960.. Great post today, Terry, and thanks so much for the shout out. I have four new subscribers this week, courtesy of your majesticality...
That London cafe sounds like a Black Mirror episode. Or, the SNL sketch with John Belushi where he plays a short order cook and all they serve are cheeseburgers.
From this side of the pond I know that the NHS needs revamping. My son only paid $8 for ointment, antibiotics and the doctor’s fee.
Go on, you know how to treat a woman. Well, wife... I can go all 1970s on that with ease but people tend to take you seriously. And then they laugh when you're being serious. Should I get concerned about this? Anyway I shall take Anita to the burger stall at the Hollow Pond to celebrate eighteen years of putting up with me. More if I'm still standing next week...
I'm a week behind, eeep!
I like your MWV idea. I should look at my last Morsels post where I mention some books/films and see if I can apply this.

That goldfish joke is terrible, Terry! 🤣
Loved this:
Me: Now do you believe me?
Girlfriend: Yes. I didn’t because you exaggerate so much.
Me: I’ve told you a million times that that is simply not true.

Thanks Rebecca. A truly terrible joke, but that makes it really funny doesn't it? Plus I love his deadpan delivery! Yes, fiction please!
I’ll have a go at fiction, Terry - but I’ll warn you now, I’ll only be making it up…..! 😉🤣🤡
🤣
Love the Al Stewart interview. ‘Year of the Cat’ did well here in Australia. I remember it well. Another interesting and diverse post. Thanks so much.
Thanks, Beth 😃

I remember Kookie. Poor kid. Thanks, Jeanne 😀

PS. Great to hear about the 6 w I rd stories. Will you publish them?
I hadn't thought about that, but thanks for the question! I'll write them down - thanks, Terry!

4 more subs: fantastic. I didn't think I am that influential tbh
Are you kidding? Of course you are! I am delighted any time my name is on the same page as Terry Freedman!
Don't be daft. But thanks anyway. 😀

I can review a book or movie in one word— Meh.
😁 I didn't see that SNL. Maybe I should look for it. How long did your son have to wait for treatment?
Watch the whole thing. It’s hilarious.

Dylan first went to urgent care and the wait was 4 hours at which time they would be closed. So he went the next morning when they opened.
He’s flying back Wednesday so he didn’t get to Moorfields. Thx for the link!
Oh, well I hope his eye is OK. Thanks for the link!
Brilliant as always. But, why the chromatic instead of the cross harp? I know, it's not my affair, simple fear.
Ps thanks for kind words 😁
I can already play cross harp. I intend writing about it soon.
😅

Lol. So you know how to treat a gal too! Chortle.
