Missed this one last week, Terry! A relief to hear that both you and Minty made it back into the house alive!!

And oh my, those words by Mussolini...!

Next time, save your life. Cats can be replaced, people can't. I know what you mean by fast cars. The speed limit in my condo complex is 10 mph. Cars regularly go by at 30 mph and I saw one go by that was going at least 60 mph. In fact, this morning when I was walking across the crosswalk coming back from getting the mail, a pickup truck came barrelling around the corner and had to slow down for me. I can't tell you how many times I've almost been run over.

I like your painting, very abstract. You might not think it looks good but I do.

Pretty soon, you're going to have to give us a sax demo. You keep building us up and you're going to have to do it.

An alarming start to your 'Start the week', Terry - I'm glad that you and Minty escaped unscathed! How absolutely terrifying.

The extract of Macbeth is terrific. In fact, as you've got the salient parts of the storyline across in just those few concise lines, why not take just that bit on national tour? I mean, it stands alone as it is - but in case you don't want to disappoint any audience members wanting a longer show, take your sax.

Great links, as always. And what a coincidence that you'd chosen that song to share - I heard it in a cafรฉ last week when I was out with my mum, and she asked me why I was laughing. I told her that for YEARS I'd thought that the words repeated so many times in the chorus had been 'Go and get st*ffed'! She nearly spat out her coffee!

I love the saxophonist art. Great work!

There's a good deal of toxic femininity in Macbeth, too (at least that's come across as I've been teaching to my all-girls English class). She emasculates him from the moment he starts to waver - and continues to do so at various points until the end. And it works, too. He does exactly as he's told.

Glad the cat made it! One of our dogs got loose while walking around the centre of Carlisle this summer and that was a heart-stopping moment.

Imagine my horror as I misread the title as "sex links"...๐Ÿซฃ But I persevered, out of loyalty, glad I did.

Love the artworks, glad you and Minty made it, dangerous world we inhabit...

I initially skimmed over "embracing Transformation, Musicality & Expression" and first thought "musicality" was "masculinity" as I had just read the words "toxic masculinity" and thought you were carrying on a theme. Then I thought, wait, is it "muscularity?". No, wait, it can't be. Ah, it's "musicality"! That makes much more sense. ๐Ÿ˜„ Love Billy Ocean, by the way. Always great to read your posts. And I LOVE the painting! Very, very cool. And so glad Minty (and you) are doing well. Scary stuff for cat and cat owner.

I am glad that both Minty and you are all right.

'When I am given a costume romance beginning, "From the tiny churches hidden within the newly budding verdure of the valleys, the evensong of the Ave Maria floated gently forth and died upon the lakeโ€, my only wish is that I, too, might float gently forth and die, and I'm not particular whether it's upon the lake or on dry land.'

Have you read Jo Nesboโ€™s Macbeth? Itโ€™s excellent. The witches are cooking meth, and it gets better from there.
