Being a newly adopted human of a cat, I agree with these benefits (although I didn’t know about the weather predicting). I’ve had so much pleasure from a cat napping in my lap these last few weeks!
Just getting to this properly now. Thanks so much for sharing my post! Yes I would like to see your version :)
Good company with Tom Pendergast. I read the Budapest story and the spa story that went from there. Fantastic! I used to live in Vienna so visited Budapest a few times and could really imagine these scene. But also so FUNNY.
This whole post of yours has been another great start to the week - and I was so interested to see quite how much writing you've been getting up to! I'm rather behind on mine... and there's some bloke I'm supposed to be writing a letter to tomorrow. I'd better get on with that, hadn't I...? 😉
Loved the Catty Corrective, Terry. Your affection is plain. Catmen are very special people. I have had two catmen in my life and have found they are a breed apart. I appreciate so much your shout out today, too! Your encouragement means the world to me. Thank you, Dr. T.
I thoroughly enjoyed today's reflections, Terry. So glad you linked to Sharron Bassano's "Misadventure in Budapest." Sharron's writing is always witty and engaging and this piece showcases her fine sense of humor.
The piece by Tom Pendergast on feedback is a must read. Thanks for sharing it.
Lastly, despite your well-reasoned defense of keeping miniature tigers as house pets, I remain skeptical, as I bleed easily. I did appreciate the cute drawings but I will continue to keep my distance.
😂 I feel your pain, Jim. I went into school once (as a teacher) with scratches all up and down my arms. One of the kids said "You've got cats, Sir!" Spot on 😂
I am grateful to you, Jim, for feeding my perilously under-inflated ego with your kind words. And thanks, as always for hanging out over at 🍁Leaves to see what foolishness comes next! I believe both you and Terry will appreciate "Scaredy Cat" coming on Wednesday.
Ah well, there may already be enough over-inflation in the online writing world. Again, exemplifying Dunning Kruger. That is why I absolutely adore this small tribe of writers I have found on Substack. Realists all, and I am honored to be included.

The weather prediction is quite something: completely accurate, weeks in advance. So we always know when a really cold spell is on the way.

Indeed! Thanks, Kathleen. I won a weekend for two in Vienna once. Lovely place
Your 'catty corrective' was brilliant, Terry!

Tell this bloke to get -- oh, wait a minute 🤔
🤣

Affection? Nonsense. Bah! The name is Tough Tel. Thank you.
Loved this post, Terry. It jump started my week. You can read about it in notes a bit later! 💜
Thanks very much, Sue. I look forward to reading your Notes. (I haven't missed them, have ? 😱)
Haha, no, I should have been more specific. I think it will be my post tomorrow which I will post on notes!
Oh, right, I look forward to reading. Thanks for clarifying :-)
Pushing it to tomorrow, want to add a few pics.
okey dokey. Thanks for letting me know, Sue

Haha! I rest my case.

"under-inflated ego": a clear case of the Dunning Kruger effect.
