Oh, I’m a great fan of Ian's work, especially his early work. For me, it was the shock of his writing about 'edgy' subjects which drew me in. I was, at the time, a spotty teenager and such things appeal to boys in their teens. I can only assume Terry that you are far too old to be discovering Ian's work for the first time.
Hi Doug, thanks for your comment. I can see that the writing was fine, but for me the whole set of assumptions was preposterous. As for discovering Ian's work for the first time, I'm afraid it is true. Obviously I knew OF him, but I'm afraid it's only in recent years that I've started looking at the works of several famous writers. :-)
