Ashton, Gardner and Dyke. I'd never heard of them, but they had an excellent horn section, didn't they! Cool! As for that bath-day thing? -- I've been meaning to talk to you about that.

Dear Terry, I would like to see a photograph of the boots before committing to an order. As it turns out, after seeing an actual photo of your cats, as compared with your drawing from last week, my faith in the accuracy of your sketches is a little bit shaken.

As always, I enjoyed your reply to Rebecca.

A little caution never comes amiss, if you ask me.

Thanks, Jim. I admit I exercise some artistic licence in my drawings, but there's no need to be so distrustful. I could send you a photo of my drawing of the boots. Think of it as a non fungible token.

In this case, Terry, my claim to have 'danced all night' was rather far-fetched. I have it on good authority that what I was doing was something that any other human would struggle to define as 'dancing'...

You just have to say, loud enough for others to hear, "I'm not sure I'll EVER get the hang of this latest dance from America."

😂 You see, Terry, THIS is why we're such great friends! Just the right advice, as usual! 🙌

Beans on toast in a chef’s uniform. Love it. I guess that’s why some people dress up for dinner. Even beans on toast might taste better if you’re dressed more formally. And I must admit that water out of a wine glass (a light white) definitely improves the taste...

(I’d comment on more but it’s getting late and my brain won’t retain more than one thing at a time... Puddles and music were two other topics, but food is always worth a note.)

Thanks. And all the best.

Thanks, Beth. The right gear for the job in hand is essential. That's why when I went through a painting phase I wore a smock and a beret, even though I was living alone.
