This is the best! Of course not the best that it happened to you but the way you spun it into a story is hilarious. Oh, and I could also feel the stress. It's a drag how those kind of bureaucratical nutty situations create such stress.

Oh Terry!! Oh dear. Reminds me of those ridiculous letters turning up threatening legal action because you hadn’t paid your bill of $0.00. The only way to stop it was to send a cheque for $0.00. So daft.

Absolutely hilarious.... in hindsight, of course. You might check out James Veitch videos on YouTube. He answers spam emails, etc. just for fun. They remind me of your exasperating correspondence. Here is an example:
