Wet, windy: the weather in England is cold and grim —
And it’s supposed to be Spring! That’s hard to believe —
Though the daffodils are in full bloom, and
Eros is stirring,
Rising within us.

Thanks to everyone for their comments. I'm not used to writing poetry, so I'm glad that people seemed to find this effort enjoyable. Now, to add (I hope) to your enjoyment, this post also contains a secret theme, to which there are three clues. Do let me know if you think you've cracked it -- all will be revealed in due course!
Eros is stirring! Is he EVER! This the the rainiest, coldest California winter in my loooong memory. Brrrr! As you, we're watching the sky, waiting for the first sign of sun so we can shed our clothing once again and jump into the sea. A very timely poem, Terry. Simple and simply lovely!
