Just when I thought you couldn't go any more over-the-top I got to 'When I got to the hospital waiting room there were about three thousand people there....' and spat out my coffee.
A stunning and innovative work which is the finest and most incisive piece of writing I have ever read from a talent so vast and encompassing that I shall never pick up a pen again. Genius is an overused word... But not in this case!
Looool, omg so good Terry, literally like the best thing I've read this morning, I'm totally blown away by how much you can keep this thing going with all the ridiculously amazing ways you can extend the story...
I lost my congratulation on your hyperbolic style because I saw the name of Maureen Theresa Martina. While I went to read her witty remark, I lost mine, not so witty. But thanks for the different styles. Now, I am waiting for the minimalism in the future.
This is so darned clever, Terry. Three thousand people in the waiting room! Ha ha ha! Sounds about right. It is amazing to me that I got such a clear picture in my head of whose voice this was. I swear, all it lacked was about 80 exclamation points to be standard prose among the young. Nice job! I never get tired of these renditions.
Terry! I had no idea you were the speechwriter for our State of the Union addresses! Do you also write the Speech from the Throne? Hands down the BEST THING I'VE READ ALL MORNING! Never you mind that the only other piece I've read was about how corporate greed is resulting in the shut down of independent pharmacies across the nation. Yours wins.
😂😂 This made me laugh. Thanks. Jeanne S also thinks I have the makings of a polly Titian. I'm glad my post beat the corporate green one. I hope it wasn't a close-run thing!
This was like the FUNNIEST!!!! thing I've ever read in all my whole life!!!! Obviously!
Haha! 🤣

Loved this!
(Not an exaggeration.)
I seem to have a habit of making you choke on your drink. Sorry! I thought you only drank tea? 😁
I have a cup of decaf coffee once or twice a day, to tune up the tea tastebuds!
decaf? I like something with a bit of a punch, to wake me up!
Much better idea than my low-octane approach.
…..adds FULL-BLAST COFFEE to shopping list

Brilliant, as always.
Thanks very much, Nathan. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks Larissa. The closest I have come to a minimalist version is the Summary one buried in this post:

There's an even shorter version There's called Condensed version
OMG! The most fascinating story ever written!!! 🤪😄
Hahaha Not that you would ever exaggerate, Beth! Chortle.
Great example. Hyperbolic, melodramatic and a long-talker.
I’ve just sent you some of my pills, Terry.
🤣
🤣 Thanks you. I just hope they work! Chortle

I mean greed
Green / greed -- since our cash is green, I didn't register it as a mistake.
Haha! Makes sense 😁
You sound like some of the more self-indulgent Internet writers- so hyperbole works!
👍🏻🩷🌿
😂
Future career in poltics?
PLEEEEEASE don't encourage him........! 🫣🤣
Why not? I'd make a great polly Titian because I'm so good at BS. 😅
🤣
Just add a dash of bombast and a pinch of alarmism and he is a shoo-in
🤣
LOL😂
