This has an extraordinary and subtle elegance to it, Terry. I agree that yes, it's bonkers, but like any strong piece of writing it had me pausing to ponder. Loved it. Bravo!
You are right it is a little bit discombobulated. Good experiment and I love your experiments as they help on lots of ideas about creativity and reflection. This one just seemed a little inane.
Hmmm.... je ne sais quoi. To my old tired brain, this was a bit obscure -- and funny. You are so clever, Terry. I just can't imagine what you will come up with next!
Terry, we experimented similarly this week! 😅 Mine took a slightly more serious turn. "[R]emoved their masks as a forehead-cooler" made me want to try that. I could use some forehead cooling.
Unintentional hilarity ensued. 😂

Thanks Rebecca 😊
Undeniably, this is not the work of an artist of little genius.
Lol. Brilliant, Rafa!
Do you know what? I've read Booker prize winners that weren't a million miles away from this....
So there’s hope for me yet! 🤣
Yeah, but that's just the way I talk, so I don't know why these people thinks its funny...
Incidentally, your substack wanted to verify I was human before I could comment. I could take umbrage at that...
Well clearly Substack knows something I don’t. you can’t be too careful these days, that’s what I always say.
This is brilliant. I really like this one. It retains meaning but has a wild flair to it. As you say, a certain e ne sais quois.
My favourite line: "insecure in the ignorance that I had everything less trivial than severe health"
Thanks, Nathan. Hahaha! Isn't that line bonkers, but somehow great in its bonkerishness! 🤣

Write on!
Inane is right, Jill. 'Discombobulated ' happens to be one of my favourite words! 😂
I’m going to have to lie down, Terry.
🤣 sorry, Maureen!
This was a tough one but you managed it with grace and humor.
Thanks you, Carissa 😂

Nor can I! Not clever, just deranged, but thank you anyway. Chortle
Hmm... Yes, but I didn't like to say that...
😂
Thanks Elizabeth. I am behind with my reading, but will read yours right now. Thanks for the link.
