Congrats on 100 versions. Btw, how is your head these days?

Thanks, Jeanne! Much better now, thanks! Chortle.

I once taught a two-day course in Microsoft Front Page (yes, I’m that old), and during the icebreaker session I referred to a movie as a ‘chick flick.’ I then spent two days being boiled in the resentment of two of the students. The evaluation wasn’t good either.

I had something similar in a class nearly 40 years ago. I said that some people regard themselves as untouchable, which produced a load of fury from someone for referencing the Indian caste system, which of course I hadn’t remotely alluded to. I apologised for offending him and we all moved on. I’ve sort of come to the conclusion, now that Ive reached a stage of dotage and decreptitude, that life is too short to engage with people who seem to spend their time looking for reasons to be offended.

Dotage and Decrepitude. Hmm. You and I, in a music hall act?

Or perhaps the title for a memoir?

🤣 or both

People just don’t realize how much gas (petrol) we save after the advanced meditation courses. I can be OM from the office in no time at all.

J's friend was just being an ass. I am sorry you even remember the incident. I loved the drawing of the bookshelves and the mystified cats. I have given most of my books away now, but I do have a small new section: books written by my Substack tribe.

Im getting rid of books too. What a wrench. Ass: thanks for saying that. She was a pretty obnoxious person: I caught her rolling her eyes before I had even sat down. Glad you like the drawing.

Ah! the bookshelves...!

😁 You are familiar with the problem then, Alison!

After downsizing almost a decade ago, and relinquishing too many beloveds, I am slowly filling my new home. It feels more like home --
