Something I'd missed when I'd read your draft of this (Plot spoiler: yes, Rebecca and Terry read each other's letters in preview before publication) was the news of your bike accident! I do hope all's well. My risk of falling off a bike is currently 0% due to it being locked in the shed. I can recommend it.
I'm glad there hadn't been a photographer among us on the day of your visit, because I absolutely love your portrait! 🤣
I like the color, too, Matthew, but I want to know why they have no noses. I will admit to not noticing this missing detail until I got to Mr. Snaps and his mustache.
Never mind the noses - Terry has drawn me with a LITERAL eye-roll in action! It had me laughing for hours!
(And Jim's a dead ringer for my dad - I have to say that Terry has gone for a rather hyperbolic beard. In his defence, though, Terry's portrait of himself is 100% accurate, right down to his facial expression.) 😉
He had a slight accident with his beard trimmer over the weekend and he's now almost clean-shaven! 🤣 Still handsome - perhaps actually more so?! #giggles
Thanks for mentioning me and my cohort twice in this fine post, Mr. Freedman. Fossilized drivers and loose American women. We know who we are and are proud of it.

Thanks very much. I am hoping to secure a royal commission one of these days.
Could happen, absolutely!
thanks for humoring me
::tucks 'fossil of a driver' into her lexicon::
Hope you aren't too bruised, emotionally or otherwise, from your bike mishap.
thanks, Elizabeth. I was slightly bruised physically. My ego was rather more bruised because I fell over while STATIONARY.
Ouch!
Quite! 😁
You've upgraded your drawings with color. I like. 👍
tHANKS, mATTHEW! oops. 😂

I was drawing from memory, that's why.
🤣
I hear you. I hardly ever remember that other people have noses.
That's HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! 🤣👃🤣

And I've never even met your dad. Glad you admire the accuracy of my self-portrait. Chortle.

I look about 20 years younger when I Shave!
🙄 😂 🙄
😀
The fossilized driver stood out as a frozen projectile in my mind!
Good going, or not going as the case may be.
😂
Your cartoon of the four of you is fantastic. Your expression is priceless.
LOL
....as well as uncannily accurate, Mary! Terry looks EXACTLY like this in real life! 🤣
It's true!!
🤣

🤣🤣🤣
Falling off your bike! Ouch. Hope you’re ok. All the best.
Thanks, Beth. Shaken up a bit, and my ego took a bashing, ie I felt dead stupid. I will try to write up the whole sorry saga for Monday!
Ulp. As long as you're safe, that's the main thing.
Yes thanks! I will write about the whole sorry saga soonish.
