The ability to answer questions that are unexpected and random, to me, is the sign of a great teacher. I don't think that wisdom skill is honored anymore, with the exceptions found in classic movies like Dead Poets Society. And in the calm before the AI storm this attitude towards teachers and education in general (now just a path to make money with education as a side effect) terrifies me.
Yes. I think that a good teacher will use AI to enhance their practice and also help kids navigate this brave new world, but the 'facilitators' will end up being low-level and low-paid functionaries whose job is turn the chatbot on and off and make sure the kids are sitting down!
